This was the result of a charity shop book splurge earlier this year. Am almost finished devouring it (started it yesterday), review to shortly follow!
I couldn’t put this book down. I was totally sucked backwards to the 1850s and the life of Honor Bright. This book was dramatic, exciting, interesting and very moving. I appreciated that it is inspired by the real historical events of The Underground Railroad. The extra content in this edition explaining the authors inspirations, writing process, historical context and research made for very interesting reading. The ending was rather dramatic and not at all what I expected. I think this could be her best work to date.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Was given another copy so bringing this one to the Uncon as Shahrun can’t make it.
Picked up from the book table.
I always enjoy Tracy Chevalier's books, and this was no exception.
The two themes running through the book of quilting (of course had to Google the patterns mentioned), and the runaway slaves were very interesting, especially as I have recently read Colson Whitehead's book Underground Railroad.
