Read this book, just okay, but never had the chance to discuss with the bookclub because covid hit. It is now available

checking in and holding before releasing. Noticed the setting is Mississippi, so will see if it's readable for the states challenge
rabck from spoiledrotten; Larry Ott and Silas "32" Jones were boyhood pals for a short whiile. Now Crazy Larry lives in his childhood home and tinkers at his Dad's gas station, convicted by public opinion of a girl's murder since he was the last one that saw her alive. And "32" is the town constable, when another girl goes missing. Only Silas knows that Larry wasn't the culprit in the first girl's murder, and likely didn't have anything to do with this either, only in the 1990's in small town Mississippi, race tensions and gossip still run deep.
