Good story. Looking for something for my nine year old granddaughter. this one maybe a bit too much for her at the moment but I will be looking at what other children's books the author has for sale at the convention

Story about a young girl who is put into temporary foster care when her mother is ill. I rather like this, it's fairly predictable but also quite emotional in places. Monica manages to write as a teenager really well, which unfortunately means that the few places where it slips jar quite badly. Love the use of cats in the story and in pictures throughout the book.

A really heart-warming story, you can't help but feel for all the children in care.

I really enjoyed this so I hope it finds a new reader at the 2019 Uncon :-)

I liked what Monica explained about the book and it's writing so this book went with me.

I wouldn't have crossed path with this book if I hadn't been to BCUKUncon in Northampton and heard M.W. talk about her writings. I admired her creative idea of illustrating her childrens books and then she talked about Hi, Mum. It is interesting to know the writer behind the story, the motives, about the act of writing and so I took this book with me. And I liked to read it. It's predictable but still: it's a good read. Thanks for sharing.
