I remember being sadden by the disappearance of Laci Peterson, who was eight months pregnant in 2002. It was utterly heartbreaking when their bodies washed up on the San Francisco Bay shore in 2003. This book gives insight into Laci’s upbringing, including her marriage to her murderer, and really showcases Laci’s love for her loved ones and unborn son, Conner. Laci wasn’t perfect, but her beautiful smile and personality lit up the lives of those who were lucky enough to encounter her. Her mother’s grief is very deep and her love for Laci and her family comes through in this book.

This book is a heart-wrenching tribute from a Mother to her murdered daughter.
I admit that I cried my way through this book, as the pain, on so many pages, was almost palpable.
Bravo to Sharon Rocha for finding the inner-strength to tell Laci's story.
