hings are going well for beekeeper Story Fischer, whose hands are full with a successful local market, her Queen Bee Honey business, and a new boyfriend. But when she finds the dead body of local woman with a checkered past right near her hive, she's in a sticky situation indeed.
On the whole this is a good series. The plots, characters and humour are all enjoyable. Looking forward to the next installment.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
into the creepy crawly bookring it buzzes!
Taken from the Creepy Crawlie Bookring, I've not read the first in this series but I don't think that will spoil my enjoyment of this. As my TBR pile is massive it may take me a while to get to this.
A fun easy read, I would read more books in this series if they came my way.
Going into the Already Crossed Bookbox.
Received in a bookbox which has reached home safely today.
Now this sounds like an easy read which I may well just do and send it off again in a bookbox!

"Summer is approaching in the picturesque town of Moraine, Wisconsin, but when a hive of Story Fischer's bees [swarms leaving home to adventure they lead] her straight into the middle of a murder investigation, the result is anything but sunny..."
I've jumped into this series with book two, but was not inconvinced by that. Thought it would be easily light but came to appreciate the characters here even more than I had imagined. Now I would be happy to chase up more in this series.
Story Fischer's combatitive and stubborn character is one I took quite some time to appreciate. Though by this tales end I had, to my surprise, come to emphasise with this out spoken, cantankerous creature. An unexpected development. Though I'm begining to wonder perhaps my initial antipathy, was a recognition of Story's character being similar to mine in parts? Who knows... OK where to next...?
---------------------
EDITED TO ADD: In haste sorry, I forgot to do a "RELEASE" journal entry in advance. Posted to BookCrosser Abi-Gibbi MON 6 NOV 2023 from Edinburgh, Scotland. Yup, I sent more books than we discussed but thought I may as well make up an under 2kg parcel, offering you more for fun. This one included as it is a pleasing cosy mystery!
