Snowflakes on Christmas Street
2 journalers for this copy...
I thought my shelves of unread books were looking a little depleted this morning, so I made a point of looking through the used books when I was shopping in Sainsbury’s. This is one of the ones I chose to bring home, making the requested donation to their current charity, Open Country, helping disabled people to access the countryside.
Who can resist a book with a Christmas tree on the cover, even in July?

A street in small town America has somehow crossed the pond to masquerade as a street in London. I don't know why. It would've been more convincing had it stayed home!
The author's an American, a fact which is obvious from the over-emphasis on Halloween and the ease with which an American football helmet suddenly appears out of nowhere!
I'm not very dog-minded which is a hindrance when the central character is a ridiculously cute dog. Actually, the whole book is far too cute for its own good, positively sickly . . . . but I finished it anyway . . . something else I can't explain . . . .

From my friend and neighbour Nu-Knees - a few months back.
I was looking for my next book to read and found this.
Maybe I should have read it over Christmas but missed that chance.

An uplifting feel good story that ends with Christmas.
An enjoyable, light, comforting read that doesn't challenge you in any way but you feel good at the end.
