Another in the excellent Cormoran Strike series. When a man who is clearly mentally ill comes to the office to talk about a murder he witnessed as a child, Strike's sympathy is caught and he wants to find the truth. Also an MP wants the dirt dug up on two people who are trying to blackmail him, and surely there must be a connection between the two. Meanwhile Robin's marriage is in trouble and the tension in the relationship between her and Strike is greater than ever. Less gore and more psychology in this one which meant I enjoyed it more.

Book has arrived safely. Thanks very much.
Another great novel in the Strike series. It is much longer and more complicated than the previous novels and certainly doesn't show the members of the upper classes and government in a very favourable light but I doubt that will surprise anyone. Also Strike's treatment of Lorelei has brought him down a bit in my estimation. The murder case itself is brilliantly plotted and, of course, I want to read any further novels that may appear about this rather unusual sleuthing partnership.
