Sadly this was a disappointment. The start of the first novella Morpho Eugenia was promising, but I quickly began to lose interest. I spotted the likely twist early on and just didn't find any of the characters particularly appealing. The second novella, The Conjugal Angel, bored me from chapter 1 and after a while, I decided to give it up. I'd lost track of who was who and who was looking for which spirits, etc.
