Good thing I didn't order the other 3 books in this series. Boring at best, so much could be done about the LFL.

I am a cozy mystery fan, and I appreciate that Elizabeth Kane Buzzelli did try to write and unusual cozy mystery. However, I didn't enjoy it very much. I felt that the book was bogged down by two of the main characters' negative attitudes. I didn't particularly like those characters, which made it difficult for me to invest in the story. I also felt that the ending was obvious at least 100 pages before the book ended. While I admit that most cozy books are quick, enjoyable reads that rarely feature a groundbreaking mystery, this ending felt particularly obvious and drawn out. I felt like the characters were just running in circles while the author was trying to add suspense (and length) to the story. It didn't work. I would recommend looking elsewhere for your next cozy read.
