I found this paperback on the book-swap shelf in the Tyngsboro MA post office lobby, and nabbed it for another release copy.

I've enjoyed Ferris' needlework series very much, perhaps as a nice, cozy change from some of my more typical reading material {grin}. The murder in this one has ties to genealogical research - as well as to knitting needles...

In addition to the family tree, the tale includes an entire houseful of antiques and art-objects, all of which may have to do with the mystery - or do they? There's a mysterious needlework map, too, discovered under rather unlikely yet interesting circumstances, and which triggers an actual treasure hunt - that turns up something really unexpected. [Well, OK, maybe it wasn't that unexpected to me; seemed to have been telegraphed to the reader by many of the other plot points. But I don't mind that!]

I left this book in the Little Free Library; hope someone enjoys it!
