I found this softcover at a local Savers thrift shop. It's about an orphan who has inherited his late uncle's country estate - only to find a deepening mystery about the place and about his own past. The story features a found diary/tale-within-a-tale, and some atmospheric illustrations at each chapter. Sounds just like the sort of book I'd enjoy, but it isn't grabbing me, so I expect I'll pass it along unread.
