This is the second book in the Tom Harper series. It has a very good sense of history and place, just my usual complaint, that no map is included! I really think writers would remember that many of their readers are predominantly visual/ kinesthetic, a map would go a long way to help us visualize the environment. This complaint isn't aimed at this book alone, there are many others . The end pages in all Dona Leon books are maps! It was a very good read none the less.
