This book has two things going for it; the author, who wrote the Morganville vampire books (infinitely better than twiglet with its sparkles, and much better than the tv series of Morganville would suggest), and that it is based on the power of books. It is Book One of The Great Library (being the great library of Alexandria), and is based in a world where everything is subject to the power of that authority. Fascinating concept, great characters, looking forward to finding the next one.
