A forensic mystery. I like the plot and the fact that I learned a lot, and I was drawn to some of the characters. On the downside is the somewhat lecturing style of the prose, particularly at the beginning; I actually stopped to check that this was a fiction book and not a retelling of a real case. But very enjoyable once you get into it.
