I really enjoyed this book. Well written. This is the 1st of the Mary Russell/Sherlock Holmes series by author Laurie R. King. I look forward to reading them all. There is also a 2015 movie titled “Mr.Holmes” inspired by this book, starring Ian McKellen as Sherlock Holmes.

Spine stickers For the Win (again!!). And I was right in my guess of where this book came from, even though the BookCrosser was not identified on the label. (Hi Zippy!)

I took a break from my cases to hit the library bookstore and look for some books to give my niece when she comes to visit. (Any of my family who come across the country and actually make time to see me go away with books -- it's a tough life!) There on the shelves of mass market paperbacks at the front door was this book with a spine sticker. Had to have it, of course, so that I could journal it and then put it in my collection for releasing at LFLs.

I read this book and several others in this series a long time ago. One of these days when the mood strikes me I will read others in the series that are on Mt. TBR.

This book is one of many being passed along to potential readers at local Little Free Libraries. It's kind of funny, me leaving it at this location when I bought it a block away at the FOLMC book store.
