Another one of those books I should have read back in 1987, when everyone else was reading it. I've seen the movie several times, and would like to read the book one day, though it's probably number 12,348 on my TBR list ... (Postscript: I'm much happier that it's finding a new home!)
I'm mailing this book to succulent in Denmark, Western Australia as a RABCK for Mother's Day. Happy Mother's Day from New Westminster, British Columbia! (At left: the Fraser River as seen from the top of my street.)
This book arrived today....thankyou so much goatgrl...it was only yesterday that I remembered it and wondered when it would arrive. I am currently reading a (very thick!!) bookring book but as soon as it is finished i will read Fried green Tomatoes as I've wanted to since seeing the movie a long time ago. Your generosity in sending me this book is much appreciated and I will pass it on again once I've finished with it.
help! Mother's Dat is almost here again and I still haven't read this book!I have offered it as a RABCK but will try to read it before I send it off to bookfairy65 (who was born the same year as me)
Almost finished this one while on holidays..and was quite enjoying it but I've had it almost a year so time to pass it on. Sent today to bookfairy65..hope you enjoy it.
Thankyou succulent for sending this book to me. I am very much looking forward to reading it!
I finally got around to reading this book and I loved it, although it started a little slowly. Absolutely loved the characters in the book, especially Idgie and Big George. The book was quite humourous at times and once you get into it, it is quite easy to read, with nice short chapters.
Thanks again to succulent and goatgrrl for the opportunity to read this. I will be releasing it again soon.
