It's been a while since I read an Anne Perry novel and it was nice to get back with her again. Her stories are well plotted with believable characters and she does her historical research well and certainly evokes the period . I really shouldn't leave it so long before my next visit.

Well, this was really a sad example of the time when homosexuality was a crime, and the child-prostitution common. And yet very nice mystery, even if the characters were mostly not so likable .
