Eleanor Oliphant leads a simple life. She wears the same clothes every day, eats the same meal deal for lunch every day and buys the same two bottles of vodka to drink every weekend. Eleanor Oliphant is happy. Nothing is missing from her carefully timetabled existence. Except, sometimes, everything... I'd heard a lot of people say how fantastic this book is before I read it. Which perhaps had my expectations set too high. I did enjoy it, but it didn't quite blow me away in the way I thought it would. I think that might be partly because I'm quite like Eleanor and some of it was a bit too close for comfort.
