Journal Entry 1 by wingvioloncellixwing from Groningen, Groningen Netherlands on Saturday, June 1, 2019
A re-intepretation of the classic history of Achilles and Patroclus and the Trojan war, with some emphasis on their love story.

Quote: I could recognize him by touch alone, by smell; I would know him blind, by the way his breaths came and his feet struck the earth. I would know him in death, at the end of the world.

Here's the very positive review in the Guardian: https://www.theguardian.com/books/2011/sep/29/song-of-achilles-miller-review

And here's a negative review in the New York Times: https://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/29/books/review/the-song-of-achilles-by-madeline-miller.html

My own opinion lies somewhere in between.

Dear Finder,

I hope that you enjoyed finding a traveling book. It would be wonderful if you were to leave a journal entry here for me (and subsequent finders) to know that the book has been found and to track where it traveled.

You may write a journal entry here, and this can be done anonymously. If you would also like to track the book on its journey through the world, however, you may become a member of Bookcrossing (for free, no spam) and choose your own screen name. Writing in English, German or Dutch is fine.

Thank you very much in advance for any news about the book and...
Happy reading and /or releasing!

Best wishes,
