Entertaining look at prehistoric Man.
At the end, Deary observes how quickly new discoveries in archaeology force us to revise our theories of human origins, and remarks that "todays ideas will probably be proved wrong in another ten years." Twenty years on, this is still a good introduction, but there are a lot of new discoveries that it doesn't include - Denisovans, Hobbits, ...
For release. I wonder if I could find a suitable ancient monument (Stanton Drew, maybe?).
