I still have a few pages left but I have really enjoyed this one. It's been interesting to read about Grant's mother and other relatives and all the stories that necessarily weren't true and how the author struggles with her sister to find a home for their mother when she loses her grasp of reality. There was both irony and warmth in her writing. I loved the photographs, too.

Yes, the book is well worth reading. Linda Grant wrote a lot about the other relatives as a backgroung before she told us more about her mother. Many things reminded me about my mother-in-law who died two years ago after 15 years of Altheimer´s disease. As a 85-year-old she was still quite healthy. It was not easy to get her into a home, because she thought and said that her children will take care of her.
