She ended up in Crossroads for a job as curator of the local museum. There she meets Wilkes Wagner. He will change her life forever. Also, Lauren Brigman, the sheriff's daughter, has freedom within her reach. She is hungry for Lucas Reyes's attention, at least some sign that she's more than the girl he rescued one night. A good read!
