In this story of Ransom Canyon, Dan Brigman the local sheriff finds a sparkly blue boot in the middle of the road. Then he finds the owner and she touches all the right buttons, and he's found he true love. Also, Thather Jones is accused of stealing and is residing in Dan's jail until story of the little girl in the red coat can be verified. Also, Lauren Brigman has decided the big town is not for her and she returns home to Crossroads, Texas. Several cases are connected and Dan and his daughter and friends sort things out and put Crossroads back on the straight and narrow. A very good read!!
