This book is in a Controlled Release!
2 journalers for this copy...
Love Roald Dahl and couldn’t resist picking this up from a charity shop today. I suspect I already have a copy, but I can always keep this for trades or releasing.
Creepy, sinister but lacking the usual Dahl magic and fabulous Quentin Blake illustrations. The Champion of the World was obviously basis for the Danny The Champion Of The World book (which I prefer to this shorter version). An African Story is wtf?! But it also left me wanting more too. Stories that stayed with me are Skin, The Wish, Dip in the Pool, Beware of the Dog (although I didn’t fully get it) and My Lady Love, My Dove.

Picked up this at a London meetup
This isn't your normal Roald Dahl childrens book, it is definitely for adults! I really enjoyed it however. The stories are varied, both in length and subject and were all worth a read. My favourite one is the one on pheasants. I'm going to send this to my niece as she might enjoy this
