I enjoyed the animated mini-series, and was pleased to find that there's a graphic-novel spin-off series. Got this volume from Barnes and Noble.
There are two stories here; the first features Greg on a dream-quest of his own in the weird, magical, sometimes creepy world across the wall. Since Greg's nearly always quite cheerful, this story doesn't have the same sinister aspect as some of the original stories, though when Greg finds his brother inside the dream (or is it a dream?!?), Wirt's side of the story sounds scarier {wry grin}.
The second story, "Homeland," is about Anna, the daughter of the Woodsman, a key character from the animated series; here, we learn more about her, in a very poignant tale.
While the book does suffer a bit from the lack of voice-acting and musical score, it's an entertaining addition to the original series.
[There's a TV Tropes page on the series, with some entertaining tidbits.]
