BookCrossing is the act of releasing your books "into the wild" for others to find, and tracking where they go via journal entries from around the world. Our community of passionate, generous book-lovers is changing the world and touching lives, one travelling book at a time. We hope you’ll join us!

You’re probably reading this because you’ve picked up a BookCrossing book, and you’re wondering what you need to do next. The person who registered your book would love to know who found it, and maybe a little bit about what you thought of it, so please consider making a journal entry – you can create a BookCrossing account to do this (click the Sign Up link above), or leave an anonymous entry (click ‘I prefer to remain anonymous’).

Once you’ve left a journal entry, take some time to look around the BookCrossing website – look at the recently released books in your area, introduce yourself to the community, find out how you can swap and share books with others, and maybe even think about registering and releasing some books of your own!
