Serenity: Those Left Behind

This is a book I've had on my keeper shelves for a long while, but honestly I don't re-read it all that often, so I am going to let it travel on to find another fan. It's a pretty solid adventure tale, carrying on from where the TV show left off. At times it tries a little too hard to tie into events in the TV show with heavy-handed references, particularly since in the show's format, episodes are very stand-alone.
The art is generally good, but a bit stiff. I honestly would have liked to see a less conventional artistic approach, pushing the stylistic envelope a little more, since Firefly had such distinctive visuals. It feels like the comics should carry that tradition on.
