For the younger young adult I’d say. Some tricksy, unlovely and downright scary characters but this is not as scary faery noir as Mellissa Marr’s WICKED LOVELY SERIES, not bad though. Quite the range of angsty moments building from fairly early on as so much of Laurels life starts twisting and turning out of all recognition and the two young men well one warm and friendly young human she meets at her new school and one fae, the mysterious Tamani, who seems to have a whole lot of the answers to the other aspects of her life she is just starting to uncover and is desperate to come to grips with.
