I found this paperback (a movie-tie-in edition to the 1994 film - not my favorite adaptation) in this Little Free Library on Bay State Rd in Reading MA while dropping off some books of my own, and picked it up for another release copy.

I'd first read Little Women at about age 12 or so, and had enjoyed it (though I liked Jo better before she got all domestic!), but I admit it's not among my favorite books. Still, the story of a close family coping with the trials of life - and with their own widely-differing personalities and hopes - is a classic, and worth reading. [It's inspired a number of film adaptations, of which the 1933 version is my favorite.]

[On a humorous - if somewhat irreverent - note, there's a very funny entry for Little Women in the book Haiku U; as it might be considered in poor taste by fans of this book, and as it contains a spoiler, I won't quote it here, but if you have a rather dark sense of humor click over to the Haiku U journal entries and look for it there. Oh, and there's a TV Tropes page for the novel, with comments on some of the adaptations.]

I left this book in the Little Free Library outside the cafe; hope someone enjoys it!
