What a pleasurable book! I really enjoyed the evenings I spent reading it, just what I needed in these unusual times.Though I am not very familiar with the horse-race trade, this made for an easy reading, I absolutely loved the characters (I am a fan of Alice Nestleton!), and the end came as an unexpected twist.
Ah, and I learned a lot about calico cats!! (See pic)

This was a quick and easy read and I did guess the perpetrator having wondered why one character appeared in the story and then didn't get mentioned again until much later on.
