I read this book in honor of the newly photographed black hole in galaxy Messier 87, and it turned out to be a good choice, a wacky romp through the multiverse triggered by the explosion of a Very Large Hadron Collider. Physicist Theo inherits a mysterious bottle when his mentor Pieter van Goyen dies under mysterious circumstances and has to unlock its mathematically encrypted secrets in order to discover the true nature of his inheritance.
