I got this somewhat-battered '70s paperback (different cover than shown) at a local Salvation Army thrift shop. It has some interesting elements, blending SF and fantasy and horror (plus some conspiracies and a little romance!), but I couldn't really get into it; perhaps someone else will like it better.
