I have listened a part of this as a audiobook and hope to finish this soon. Very interesting and very sad story.

I'm happy that I had this as a book. I ended up reading even the parts that I had listened, because I can't concentrate to listening as I do in reading, and this book really was worth reading it closely.
It seemed like that there wasn't any choice for Ishmael when he become a child soldier, but also that there wasn't much choice for the lieutenant who recruited him either. Their village was surrounded by rebels and they needed everyone to fight.
