Journal Entry 2 by Mankyi at Haus der Jugend - BC Convention 2019 in Mainz, Rheinland-Pfalz Germany on Saturday, April 13, 2019
Released 5 yrs ago (4/26/2019 UTC) at Haus der Jugend - BC Convention 2019 in Mainz, Rheinland-Pfalz Germany
WILD RELEASE NOTES:
If you aren't familiar with Bookcrossing, take a few minutes to check out this very cool site. Bookcrossers LOVE books, and more than anything, they love to read books and then set them free for other people to find and enjoy. I would love it if you would leave a journal entry -- you can say where you found the book or how you liked it when you read it.
Selected from the table at the wonderful BC convention in Mainz to be added to my enormous Mount TBR.
I have only read the first one in the series, but already had no. 3, then 9, 10, 11 and was hoping to fill in the rest from a BC meeting so I'm delighted to find the second one: time for Stephanie Plum! Thank you Mankyi and the English Book Swap Zurich ladies.

Two for the Dough by Janet Evanovich
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
No more than a light diversion with some ridiculous slapstick and incompetent blundering by bounty hunter Stephanie Plum and her on again off again ‘not my boyfriend’, police officer Morelli. The best character in this farce is the redoubtable and accident prone Grandma Mazur, who fancies herself as a sleuth and a Mata Hari but invariably causes chaos wherever she goes. Add in some doublecrossing criminals, one of whom is undoubtedly a psychopath intent on revenge, one a weasley funeral director and one a hapless stooge and the scene is set for complete mayhem. Oh, and I nearly forgot Stephanie Plum’s housemate, the engaging Rex the hamster who has the most eclectic diet of any hamster in the history of the world. Not to mention the indestructible powder blue 1953 Buick that someone compares to the QEII.
There are now about 25 books in this series, so I can only assume most are better than this one. It was amusing enough, but it didn’t really ever reach the stage of unputdownable. I have several more on my shelf. It remains to be seen if I read them or pass them on unread.
