It's an odd, surreal story, with immortal beings constantly searching for the one who'll fulfill a prophecy - even though every single candidate they've found to date has failed one way or another. When tiny little mushroom-like Rice Boy gets tapped as the next Chosen One, and learns about the history of the prophecy, he asks a logical question: "Maybe the prophecy is not true?" Alas, T-O-E (The One Electronic, an immortal robot/man with a TV-screen face that shows glimpses of old TV shows and ads depending on his mood) isn't ready to accept that...
The story gets creepy and grim in places, with an old foe of T-O-E who thinks he should be doing the choosing - and a power-mad frog prince who's certain he's the real Chosen One. There are other perils along the way, from the often-bizarre landscape to mysterious (and hungry) beings, but there's also unexpected friendship and, eventually, a neat little twist to the whole prophecy.
[There's a TV Tropes page on the webcomic, with some entertaining tidbits.]
The story was cute, fun, and full of eye-candy! The color palettes were great and even though the drawings seemed simple, they conveyed quite a range of emotion, motion, and depth to the story and characters. Overall, I really enjoyed Rice Boy and T-O-E's story.
