A Spool of Blue Thread

Found in the Valentin bookbox. I've been looking for something for another bookcrosser, this might be it (have already read and enjoyed it myself).
I first made acquaintance with Anne Tyler in The Accidental Tourist, and since then have read most of her books. I think the Spool... is her last. It's the story of a Baltimore family, through several generations, unwinding slowly and getting tangled, like a thread of cotton.
It's a quiet and homely kind of book, about ordinary people, who love and fight and tolerate each other, with their problems and secrets. It's also about a house, and its ghosts. And it's about life and death. Certain passages resonated with me, like the feel of a pair of pinking shears against the thumb. Several times I thought: that's exactly how it is.

Haus der Jugend, RABCK table.
Thank you very much over-the-moon! I have read and enjoyed another book by Anne Tyler so a very good choice.
