Journal Entry 7 by wingMecuwing at Hämeenlinna, Kanta-Häme / Egentliga Tavastland Finland on Sunday, March 1, 2020
The final volume of this enchanting trilogy has arrived in Finland, thanks a lot!

Journal Entry 8 by wingMecuwing at Hämeenlinna, Kanta-Häme / Egentliga Tavastland Finland on Saturday, May 16, 2020
“I have plucked snowdrops at Midwinter, died at my own choosing, and wept for a nightingale. Now I am beyond prophecy.”

I'm happy that the Winternight trilogy was equally good from the beginning to the very end. And what an ending it was! Vasya is burned as a witch, demons are free and some are imprisoned, the enemy of Russia is at its door and church bells are slowly making the chyerti vanish from the world. Everyone's destiny is set at the battle of Kulikovo.

Journal Entry 12 by wingULRKwing at București, Wallachia Romania on Friday, October 9, 2020
The book had to wait some days at the post office until I managed to pick it up.

I am curious how the story will end.

Journal Entry 13 by wingULRKwing at București, Wallachia Romania on Tuesday, December 15, 2020
Finally, after a reminder from Lamila, I managed to finish the last part.

As for the second it took me ages to get to the point to dive into the story but then I read it within some days.

I enjoyed the culmination of the story with all the twists, bad turning good, good turning bad ...
A lot of magic happens in this last part, which at one point I found to much.

Journal Entry 14 by wingULRKwing at București, Wallachia Romania on Thursday, December 24, 2020
Uff...

After queuing for 30 min at the post office the clerk told me that the Romanian Post does not accept any letters to the UK until further notice. COVID, Brexit, borders ...

I will retry after the holiday season. If they still refuse, I will check if we can change order and I ship to Canada instead?

Edit 11 Jan 2021: Romanian post announced that they are going re-start shipping to the UK. So I will try this week to get the book out.

Received this morning - thank you ULRK for persevering and getting this to me. What with COVID and Brexit it’s a difficult time! Hopefully it will have all have calmed down by the time the book is ready to travel again.

Journal Entry 17 by wingSparkishwing at Fleckney, Leicestershire United Kingdom on Monday, February 8, 2021
Wow! I loved this book, by far my favourite of the three although I enjoyed them all. This was a book which made me sit up until the early hours of the morning because I couldn’t stop reading. Thank you for sharing Lamilla and for taking the trouble to get it to me ULRK it must have been frustrating. Will be travelling on again soon.

Thank you so much Lamilla for sharing this trilogy and Sparkish for sending it my way. I have greatly enjoyed all three books and this one most of all. Not all trilogies manage to end with a bang. This final volume is a very gratifying read.

This was waiting for me here in France when I finally arrived last night, after an unexpectedly longer stay in Switzerland than planned. It looks like I'm at the end of the ray? I hope you are all well and healthy, thanks so much for making these books available and for sending.

Journal Entry 23 by wingpenelopewanderswing at Mallorca - Capdepera, Illes Balears/Islas Baleares Spain on Sunday, August 22, 2021
As an avid bookcrosser, I have had some discussions with friends who argue that bookcrossing deprives authors of royalties - when several people read a book as a bookcrossing ring or ray, that means those people don't go out and buy the book. I beg to differ - here is yet another example of a book which has totally won me over, and I am already thinking about the people I need to send a copy to.
And yet, I never would have come across this book if not for bookcrossing and Lamilla's ray.
For starters, as in the other two books in the series, the prose is wonderfully lyrical and evocative. The characters are terrific - distinctly complex and magnificently human - even those who are not quite so. Vasya is a brilliant heroine - brave and daring and wild, but nonetheless capable of doubt and uncertainty. Being disguised as a boy has unleashed a freedom and courage that she did not dare release as a girl... She explains at some point that she loves danger, not cruelty.
The story itself, part fairy tale, part history, is exciting and fascinating. An excellent read, and I am extremely grateful to bookcrossing for having sent this book my way.
I see this is labelled as a ring- Lamilla, does it return to you?
