Thank you for the RABCK biggibiest. This book was recommended to be ages ago and I have to admit I don't know an awful lot about it either. Will fill you in once I read it.

This book saw me through a 12 hour plane flight and it was definitely interesting enough to keep me interested.

It's basically about a group of women who went to live with the Cherokee Indians as part of a government agreement.

There is a foreword that reiterates that while the Cherokee Indians did at some stage in history suggest the they swap horses for women with the US government, this is a work of fiction. It's actually not so hard to see that since there are various things that would not have fit the mid-1800's time frame.

If you can get over those inconsistencies, then this is a good read.
