This isn't a novel, but a lengthy essay by Virginia Woolf (left) addressing the essential preconditions for women's creativity and intellectual expression: a fixed income and a room of one's own. This is an important and thought-provoking book -- a must for any woman who aspires to create anything outside the realm of marriage and family (whether art, literature, whatever).

I just got this book in the mail Friday. I had the chance to begin reading the book and I am so glad that I was able to request it. Goatgrrl, your wings from me are on the way! Thank you.
