Usually, I love Fannie Flagg's books, but this book I felt was just okay. This book was the Cliff notes version of the lives of the town and the people who live in it. Now if Fannie would take each decade or era and write a more in depth version that would fill in lots of holes. I never really got to know the characters and their relationships.
