The Couple Next Door
5 journalers for this copy...
Your neighbour told you that she didn't want your six-month-old daughter at the dinner party. Nothing personal, she just couldn't stand her crying.
Your husband said it would be fine. After all, you only live next door. You'll have the baby monitor and you'll take it in turns to go back every half hour.
Your daughter was sleeping when you checked on her last. But now, as you race up the stairs in your deathly quiet house, your worst fears are realized. She's gone.
You've never had to call the police before. But now they're in your home, and who knows what they'll find there.

There's no denying that this is a compulsive page-turner. At the heart of the story is a frenzied pulse running rampant and it’s addicting. Ending chapters with shocking revelations, casting doubt and making me waver on my belief of who was behind it all, time and time again, was pure magic. I read this book over the course of a couple of days, simply because I couldn’t bear to put it down. I had to know who took baby Cora and WHY.

This one will follow its travels... A great novel, but I have already read it.
This book continues its travel as part of the Books that were Once in your Wishlist VBB. This was indeed in my wishlist, but I've already read it. :)
Taken from the "Books that were once on your wish list" ring.
Cracking tale though I didn't like any of the characters except the Detective. The suspense is kept going well in this novel and I finished it in a day and a half and plan to start reading another of her novels this evening.
