This was a very silly, yet entertaining book. The plot is so far into the realm of the ridiculous that at some point it stopped even pinging against my suspension of disbelief, and I let it drag me into a PG-rated adventure version of a Regency Romance. Yeah, it is kind of genre-soup, and not really a very good one, but it is also kind of a Lite version of the Scarlet Pimpernel concept, and I can easily be lured into reading that. The characters and conflicts are very modern, and the villains are laughably terrible, yet I finished it, amused enough to keep going.
Hopefully it will provide an entertaining weekend read to the next person, too!
