Brilliant, I always love Jodi Picoult books but couldn’t wait for this one! Did not disappoint. Reserved for Daffodil-2
Given to me today by Emscott10 when we met up for one of our regular bookswap sessions. Being a Jodi Picoult fan I'm looking forward to seeing how she deals with this plot.
REVIEW:-"While I enjoyed the story in this book I did find the constant toing and froing, timewise, very annoying and confusing. I'm sure it could have been told just as dramatically in chronological order. It covers very serious subjects such as abortion, rape and murder so would not be for the faint-hearted.
I felt that the confidentiality left much to be desired at the Clinic and was surprised that women waiting for birth control would be mixing with those booking in for abortions and consequently having to run the gauntlet of protesters. However I guess this can be put down to "authors' licence" in order to dramatize the story.
It made me think that life is very strange with every month so many women being desperate to become pregnant while at the same time so many others are dreading this happening. Also that any particular woman may change from one to the other during her lifetime.
There were a couple of twists at the end of the story that I wasn't expecting and in general I thought it was well-written with strong believable characters.
I'm reserving the book for another bookcrosser.

Welcome to bookcrossing -you have found a travelling book. Please make a journal entry now to say where you found the book in case it has been moved. Then, when you have read it, please come back and make a further entry saying whether or not you enjoyed the book and why. It is now yours to do as you like with it, pass it to a friend or just leave it somewhere different for someone else to find and help it with its' journey. Of course if you can't bear to part with it at the moment then keep it, but please let me know that you have found it. If you join bookcrossing, which is free and spam-free, you can follow the book on its' travels as you will get an email each time it changes hands, but if you prefer to remain anonymous, that's fine too. Please also say what you intend to do with the book next. Thanks for coming onto the site to let me know you have found the book.
I already have books travelling in many countries around the world-a list can be found on my bookcrossing profile.
When re-releasing this book please be aware that airports are not a good place to leave books unless they have a specific book exchange shelf or area, due to security problems, so they may well just be disposed of. Also charity shops may well discard books that have been labelled in any way and they mostly chose only the books in the very best condition
to place on their shelves and discard the rest-so another bad release option.

received this as a wish list tag. Thank you
I really enjoyed this book, although it is very intense and as I was stressed I had to put it down for a long time. It gave a very good (Albeit slightly biased towards the right to choose) account of the issues surrounding abortion and family planning in America. Fortunately in the UK you can just go to your family doctor and ask for contraception, which is free. This book is now reserved for another reader from the wish list tag.
