That's serendipity - when you hear about a book one day and find it in the little free library the next, in what looks like pristine condition

Anthony Horowitz (who wrote many episodes of Midsomer Murders, Foyle's War, etc.) gets under the skin of John Watson to pen another case for Sherlock Holmes. Cleverly done, though I did guess how Holmes managed his escape from prison, even if Watson didn't.
In a chapter at the end Horowitz says he gave up Midsomer Murders when he realised there were not enough inhabitants left to kill. Also that the producers wanted a murder just before every advertising break.

I like Sherlock Holmes stories, so I'm sure to enjoy this read. Thanks, over-the-moon :-)
This book was truly a trip down memory lane, I just could not help it - the 80's TV series of Sherlock Holmes just kept popping inside my head, with the brilliant Jeremy Brett :-) The author is true to Conan Doyles characters and the setting is quite authentic. A good read!
This book is very happy travelling to The Netherlands ( a beautiful country!)
I really enjoyed this book. A Sherlock Holmes at it's best.
