Picked up in Tesco, Batley.

Loved this author, and her style of writing.
The characters and scenery came to life in her hands . . . I almost felt as if I was on the ranch with the Bodine /Longbow families!
And Alice's story was horrific -I was forever wondering who her children might have been, and if Sir had appeared in the story anywhere.
But . . . so many characters' names begin with the letter "C" -even the 2 dogs! It was very confusing.
Will definitely read more of hers.
