I got this hardcover at a Goodwill thrift shop. It's about the many challenges involved in determining the time of death of a body found after the fact - sometimes long after the fact - with historical anecdotes, scientific evidence, and actual case histories. I've read a fair amount about this from different sources, including the fascinating Death's Acre by Bill Bass, about his work at the "body farm" of the University of Tennessee, and was pleased to find that this book brings in that and a number of other intriguing studies that have helped to refine the science of time of death.
