Passing along to a fellow Bookcrosser for valentines!
Enjoy
"A book is a mysterious object, I said, and once it floats out into the world, anything can happen. All kinds of mischief can be caused, and there's not a damned thing you can do about it. For better or worse, it's completely out of your control."
Paul Auster

This book arrived today and looks to be just the kind of book I love-looking forward to reading it! It arrived in the Valentine exchange box today that was packed with goodness to include another book,a crossword book, a drinking mug filled with candy, a good vibes tote bag, a notepad, some packs of flower seeds to plant in my yard and a valentine. Thanks so much princess-peapod!

Coincidence-I finished reading a book, pulled this one out to start next. And it begins, "It was the fifth day of November...."
11/12/2020
I chose to read this book this month because it fit Plum-crazy's "what to read for November" theme of Day of the Dead (Gifts being the qualifying word). I had high hopes for this book but was disappointed. I have never read anything by this author. The first 200 pages of the book is mostly about 2 women having their very own pity party. Bren Epperson is experiencing empty nest syndrome and Virginia Mash has suffered some losses in her life and just complains about everything pushing everyone away, making herself miserable as well as everyone around her. The idea of the 100 gifts doesn't appear until page 224, and for the most part the entire story takes place in the final 150 pages of the book. I am going to be including this book (along with others) in my Christmas Exchange package because it does take place during the Christmas season.

WELCOME TO BOOKCROSSING Congratulations! You found a traveling book! This book has been set free It is yours to keep or share Please take a moment to make a journal entry to let me know the book has found a new home
Starting this one today...
This was not the worst book I ever read because the worst book is "Mrs Chippy's Last Expedition" So that makes this book the 2nd worst The best thing about this novel is the pretty cheerful cover, which is misleading...
I liked the characters and the story Some of the dialog made me laugh out loud It was something else that I didnt care for...
This book is in a box and will be sent to an LFL once the box is full
