Unread by me.
Welcome to the community - and fun - that is bookcrossing! I hope that, once you have read this book, you will leave a rating and hopefully also a comment at the Bookcrossing site before you pass it on or release it into the wild.
If you are new to Bookcrossing please could you name me, Shirley A, as your referring member so I can continue to track the progress of the book I originally released.
Thank you and happy reading/Bookcrossing!

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Taken to the Bookcrossing London meet up. Hope that someone will take it, enjoy it and pass it on...
Picked up at the Bookcrossing meet up at the Allsop Arms
A book of short stories built on historical facts. They start in 1882 and go through to 1967. After each story Emma Donoghue tells where she found the background from, mostly newspaper cuttings.
I am taking this to the March Bookcrossing meetup in London.

Picked this up from the "table of temptation", as one bookcrosser put it đ, here at the 2023 Convention in Falkirk.
Such a unique setup to showcase immigrant historical fictions. Census data, newspaper clippings, and correspondences are fused with Donoghue's excellent skill in storytelling.
