A book of short stories built on historical facts. They start in 1882 and go through to 1967. After each story Emma Donoghue tells where she found the background from, mostly newspaper cuttings.
I am taking this to the March Bookcrossing meetup in London.

Such a unique setup to showcase immigrant historical fictions. Census data, newspaper clippings, and correspondences are fused with Donoghue's excellent skill in storytelling.
