Another Aurelio Zen investigation, this time in Rome, the Vatican and Milan, with a trip on the Pendolino. The unscrupulous detective finds a way to make his fortune after a man plunges to his death from the highest gallery of the dome in St Peter's.
Zen discovers the keyhole in the door of the Knights of Malta building, which gives a view of the dome in the distance - surprising that he didn't know it as it's in all the guidebooks.
A nice sense of place, and plenty of sly winks at Italian institutions, with plenty of colourful characters.
