"Nothing links person to person like the frequent passage from hand to hand of a good book."

I picked this up a while back. Love the premise, hoping to get to it soon. So many books, so little time!

We are not alone. Millions of people are confronting aliens that authorities say do not exist. Whitley Strieber--author of the legendary, #1 bestselling book Communion, which details his own close encounters--now returns to the riddle of aliens with The Grays.

A wandering book -- the karma of literature!

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:

I finished this book on vacation and handed it off to powaybabe for her enjoyment.

I thought this book was well-written, had interesting characters, especially Conner and Lauren, and moved along at a pace that kept me turning the pages. A few times I found the dialogue to be off base, but not so much that it ruined the book. The Grays are a really interesting race, interested in humans because we still have what they lack, viable DNA and strong emotions. They also possess what we need, advanced technology, some of which can help humans stop destroying the Earth. I felt that the Grays were sympathetic and yet still a bit scary, considering the nightmares and fears still felt by those humans who encountered them. On the other hand, some of the humans were pretty dangerous and awful, like Wilkes and the group of rich folks and government officials he represents (The Trust).

The author is a true believer about alien abductions and reportedly wrote this novel as a way to reach more people with his message. Interesting. I am able to believe that aliens could be among us or at least are "out there" and have possibly visited Earth, but I'm not ready to believe that the author's beliefs in this case are true. Still, great tale. He should write more novels.
